Nearly Departed is a combination of talented musicians who have all had success over the years playing in other notable groups throughout the region.  Following is the band's history:

Out of the ashes of Farm, a 70's Waukesha cover band, three former members, Mark Stauffer, George Farchmin, and Geoff Gauger, made it their mission in 2013 to perform together again.  In need of a vocalist, they recruited Pete Llanas, a well-known Waukesha talent to fill that need and provide additional guitar work.
Well, since then, Mark and Geoff have decided to leave the group due to a combination of health and family issues, leaving George and Pete in search of capable replacements.
2016 brings two new faces to the band - the talented Randy Reed on guitar, and the steady and dependable Rick (Moe) Kirchner on drums.

That was then…  Now in 2020, Nearly Departed is transitioning into a writing and recording group of musicians, brought on by the invasion of Covid 19 in February.

Now after three years, an album project with nine original songs and a couple of previously recorded covers is expected to be complete by late spring of 2023.  UPDATE: There is no current timeline for completion of the album project.
